Mod India was established in November 2020 by Sudha Joshi, a passionate entrepreneur with a deep-rooted love for authentic Indian cuisine and heartfelt hospitality. Located in Chadds Ford, the restaurant was built on the vision of delivering not just delicious food, but a complete dining experience centered around warmth, quality, and customer satisfaction. Sudha’s journey into the culinary world began at a young age when she made a promise to her grandfather, a respected restaurateur in India, to carry forward his legacy. Under his guidance, she learned the art of cooking, embracing his traditional techniques, flavors, and values that now form the foundation of Mod India. After spending nearly two decades in the corporate world, Sudha decided to follow her passion and honor that promise, transitioning into the food industry with determination and purpose. In 2018, she launched Rasa Indian Cuisine, which later merged into Mod India, bringing together experience, tradition, and innovation under one brand. At Mod India, every dish reflects authenticity, rich flavors, and careful attention to detail, ensuring a memorable experience for every guest.
