Jewish Relief Agency

**Jewish Relief Agency** is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting low-income individuals throughout Greater Philadelphia. The organization serves more than 6,000 people each month, working to ease food insecurity while building a stronger, more connected community.

What began as a small grassroots effort quickly grew through word of mouth. In the early months, a handful of volunteers delivered food to just a few dozen households. As awareness spread, more friends and family joined in, and the number of families receiving assistance steadily increased. A simple note placed inside each food package—encouraging others in need to reach out—sparked an overwhelming response, with nearly a thousand calls received within days.

Today, the Jewish Relief Agency continues to combine volunteer energy with compassionate service, ensuring that individuals and families receive not only food, but also care, dignity, and hope.
