Disney raises theme park prices for new fiscal year
# Disney Raises Theme Park Prices Across Walt Disney World and Disneyland

Disney has increased prices for a range of theme park offerings in the United States as the company begins a new fiscal year, with the latest changes taking effect October 6.

At Walt Disney World in Orlando, the price of the most expensive single-day ticket has increased from $219 to $229. The top price applies to Magic Kingdom on some of the busiest days of the year, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

At the other end of the pricing range, Disney’s lowest single-day ticket remains $119. That price applies to visits to Disney’s Animal Kingdom on selected lower-demand dates in 2027.

Disney has also raised prices for annual passes across its four tiers. The Incredi-Pass, which is available to guests regardless of where they live, now costs $1,749, up from $1,629.

The least expensive annual option, the Pixie Dust Pass, which is available only to Florida residents, has increased by $10.

Disney did not increase the price of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Walt Disney World as part of the latest changes.

### Disneyland Sees Smaller Increases

Disneyland in Anaheim, California, has also introduced a more limited round of price increases.

Four of the park’s seven ticket tiers have increased by $5. The lowest-priced Disneyland ticket remains $104, a price that has been unchanged since 2019.

The Park Hopper add-on has increased by $5, allowing visitors to move between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure during the same day.

Unlike previous years, Disney did not raise prices for Disneyland’s Magic Key annual passes or parking.

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass, however, has become slightly more expensive at Disneyland. Its same-day price increased by $1 to $38, while the advance-purchase price is now $35.

Disney has left multi-day ticket prices unchanged.

### Disney Focuses on Value and Premium Experiences

The latest price changes come as Disney continues to adjust its theme park strategy around a combination of premium experiences, targeted discounts and investments in attractions.

Thomas Mazloum, chairman of Disney Experiences, said the company is paying closer attention to how visitors plan and spend on vacations, particularly as families remain conscious of household expenses.

Disney has increasingly used premium products and add-ons alongside promotional offers to provide different pricing options for visitors.

The strategy has contributed to stronger performance across Disney’s parks and cruise businesses. The company said its parks and cruises division generated its strongest revenue performance in two years during the summer.

Despite the increases, industry observers say consumers have not responded as negatively to Disney’s price adjustments as they did several years ago.

The company has also established a pattern of reviewing and changing theme park prices around October as it enters a new fiscal year.

Gavin Doyle, founder of Disney-focused news website MickeyVisit.com, said Disney fans closely monitor the company's annual pricing decisions and have increasingly been paying attention to how the company responds to customer feedback.

### Visitors Adjust Travel Plans

Higher prices have not necessarily stopped families from planning Disney vacations, but some travelers are changing the way they organize their trips to control costs.

Beci Mahnken, CEO of travel agency MEI-Travel, said her clients continue to book Disney vacations even during periods of economic uncertainty.

However, she said some travelers are willing to change their travel dates, choose a different resort or shorten their stay when promotional offers make a noticeable difference to the overall cost.

That flexibility gives Disney another way to balance higher headline prices with discounts and other incentives aimed at maintaining visitor demand.

Mazloum said the continued willingness of guests to return to Disney parks reflects the company's focus on finding a balance between pricing and the overall visitor experience.

The latest increases come during a broader period of change for Disney's leadership and theme park operations.

Earlier this year, Josh D’Amaro, who previously led Disney’s theme parks division, became CEO of the company, succeeding Bob Iger.

With Disney continuing to invest in attractions, premium offerings and its wider parks and experiences business, pricing is likely to remain an important part of how the company manages both customer demand and revenue growth.
