Amazon unveils new Kindle lineup, including Colorsoft, Paperwhite and $34.99 Click remote

### Amazon Unveils New Kindle Lineup With Faster E-Readers and Hands-Free Page-Turning Remote

Amazon has introduced a new generation of Kindle devices, expanding its e-reader lineup with an updated six-inch Kindle, a refreshed Kindle Paperwhite and the new Kindle Colorsoft, while also unveiling a range of accessories, including a wireless page-turning remote called Kindle Click.

The company said the redesigned lineup was developed from the ground up, with a focus on lighter designs, faster performance and a more seamless reading experience.

Although six-inch Kindles have been part of Amazon’s lineup since the product’s debut, Amazon says the latest model is its lightest ever and offers performance that is about 30% faster than the previous generation.

A key design change across the new devices is a reverse-stack display construction, which Amazon describes as a first for the e-reader category. The redesign allows all of the new Kindles to feature flush-front displays, eliminating the raised borders traditionally found around e-reader screens.

Amazon said the updated design creates a smoother reading surface while giving the devices a more unified appearance, with colors extending seamlessly from the front to the back.

The company is also introducing several new color options, including Ube, a deep purple shade, along with Alpine Sky, Seaglass Green and Graphite. Fig, a color previously used in other Amazon devices, is also making its debut in the Kindle lineup.

Alongside the e-readers, Amazon announced Kindle Click, a compact Bluetooth remote priced at $34.99 that allows readers to turn pages without touching their devices.

According to Amazon, the accessory is intended for situations where holding or reaching for the Kindle may be inconvenient. The company highlighted use cases such as reading under blankets, exercising on a treadmill or using a Kindle while traveling on airplanes.

Users can advance pages by pressing a button on the remote rather than interacting directly with the screen.

Kindle Click is compatible with all newly announced Kindle devices as well as Kindle models released in 2024 and later.

The accessory enters a growing market for wireless page-turning tools. Rakuten Kobo introduced its Kobo Remote last year for $29.99, while BOOX offers the Tappy wireless page-turner at a similar price.

Many Kindle users have also relied on third-party accessories, some of which use clip-on mechanisms that physically interact with the display instead of connecting wirelessly.

At $34.99, Kindle Click is priced slightly above some competing products, but Amazon appears to be positioning it as an official accessory designed specifically for integration with the Kindle ecosystem.

Amazon also announced additional accessories, including a magnetic cover with built-in physical page-turn buttons and a charging dock stand designed for the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Colorsoft Signature Edition.

The new lineup reflects Amazon’s continued efforts to expand the Kindle experience beyond the e-reader itself by combining updated hardware, new color options and accessories aimed at making reading more flexible and convenient.
