### Indian American-Founded Aiseptor Joins Cornell Tech’s 2026 Runway Startup Cohort
Aiseptor, a startup founded by three Indian American technology graduates, has been selected as one of 13 companies joining Cornell Tech’s 2026 Runway Startup program.
The startup develops security software designed to prevent unauthorized use of artificial intelligence tools and proxy assistance during remote technical interviews and examinations.
The 2026 cohort includes five startups led by PhD founders, two companies participating in Cornell Tech’s inaugural Technology Founders Pilot and six ventures founded by graduates of the Cornell Tech master’s program.
The selected companies are developing technologies across a range of sectors, including artificial intelligence, robotics, life sciences, clinical education, financial technology and accessible communication.
Aiseptor was founded by Sanjay Ram, Akshay Aggarwal and Divya Bhanushali. Its technology provides a temporary zero-trust security layer for remote technical assessments, with the goal of limiting unauthorized assistance during interviews and exams.
The software is designed to block access to unauthorized AI tools and proxy services while an assessment is underway. Once the evaluation is completed, the security layer is designed to remove itself from the candidate’s device.
The startup is part of Cornell Tech’s Spinouts Program, which supports companies created by Cornell Tech graduates who developed their ventures through the campus’s Studio curriculum.
Another company in the program, MedComm Health Inc., was co-founded by Indian American entrepreneur Rishabh Patel along with Royi Rozen and Brock Daniels.
MedComm Health is developing an AI-powered follow-up platform for heart failure patients after they leave the hospital. Its AI agent, Heather, communicates with patients through voice and text messages in more than 15 languages.
The platform is designed to monitor patients after discharge and notify clinicians through a dashboard when the system identifies situations that may require medical attention.
The startups selected for this year’s cohort were recognized through Cornell Tech’s 2026 Startup Awards and will continue developing their businesses with support from the Runway team.
Cornell Tech’s Runway program is designed to help early-stage companies move from university-developed technologies and concepts toward commercial ventures. The program provides founders with mentorship, training and connections within the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Through the new Technology Founders Pilot, participating programs will also share practices and expand mentoring and training opportunities for entrepreneurs.
The initiative is intended to strengthen links between Cornell’s entrepreneurship communities in New York City and Ithaca while creating additional pathways for Cornell-developed technologies to reach the market.
Fernando Gómez-Baquero, director of Runway and Spinouts, said the 2026 cohort reflects the range of industries that artificial intelligence and emerging technologies can influence.
He also pointed to the program’s expanding collaboration with Cornell’s Ithaca campus and Weill Cornell, describing Runway as a platform connecting entrepreneurship activities across the broader Cornell ecosystem.
The selection of Aiseptor and MedComm Health highlights the growing participation of Indian American founders in university-linked technology ventures, particularly in areas involving artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and healthcare technology.
