Steneck described being unable to drive away because another vehicle was stopped in front of her while police cars blocked the area from behind and around her vehicle. She said the situation was frightening, particularly because she was concerned about an employee who remained inside the restaurant. Police eventually began allowing vehicles to leave the drive-through individually after securing the scene. Nearby businesses also reported a significant police presence as officers worked to control the area and investigate what had happened.
