Trump ties Saudi nuclear deal to Israel recognition

President Donald Trump has linked a proposed U.S.–Saudi civilian nuclear agreement to Saudi Arabia's participation in the Abraham Accords, adding a new diplomatic condition to a deal that is already attracting international attention.

Trump stated that the United States would move forward with supporting Saudi Arabia's civilian nuclear energy program only if the kingdom formally recognizes Israel by joining the Abraham Accords.
