Air India to launch non-stop Delhi-Toronto flights from August 1

Air India is set to enhance travel between India and Canada by introducing non-stop daily flights between Delhi and Toronto starting August 1, significantly reducing travel time and improving the onboard experience for passengers.

The airline will eliminate the current fuel stop in Vienna, cutting the journey by nearly three hours. The Delhi-to-Toronto flight will now take approximately 17 hours, making it one of the fastest travel options between the two countries.

Along with the non-stop service, Air India will restore daily operations on the route after temporarily reducing frequencies during June and July due to higher fuel costs and geopolitical challenges affecting international aviation.

The upgraded route will be served by Air India's newly inducted Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring three travel classes—Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy. The introduction of Premium Economy offers travelers an additional option with greater comfort and enhanced seating.

Passengers in Business Class will enjoy fully flat beds, direct aisle access, wireless charging, and advanced in-flight entertainment, while Premium Economy travelers will benefit from extra legroom, wider seats, and larger entertainment screens. Economy Class passengers will also experience upgraded seating and modern entertainment systems.

Across all cabins, the aircraft will feature over 3,000 hours of entertainment, Bluetooth audio connectivity, USB charging ports, power outlets, and improved onboard amenities. Air India is also introducing refreshed dining menus, upgraded bedding, new tableware, and enhanced cabin interiors as part of its fleet modernization program.

The airline says the move reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen international connectivity while offering passengers a faster, more comfortable, and premium travel experience between India and Canada.
