Google-owned navigation app **Waze** is introducing a new wave of AI-powered features by integrating its Gemini assistant, making driving more personalized and interactive. The update enhances the app's existing conversational capabilities, allowing users to report traffic incidents, road closures, and map corrections using natural voice commands instead of manual inputs.

Another major addition is **Destination Search**, which enables drivers to find nearby places simply by speaking requests such as locating the cheapest gas station or searching for specific destinations. The goal is to make navigation faster, safer, and more convenient while keeping drivers focused on the road.

Beyond Gemini, Waze is also launching a **"Less Chatty"** mode that reduces the number of voice prompts, offering a quieter driving experience for users who prefer fewer interruptions. For motorcycle riders, the app now features an AI-powered **Motorcycle Mode**, designed to provide optimized routes, more accurate arrival times, and alerts about road hazards including potholes, speed bumps, narrow bridges, and shoulder endings.

The app will also recommend routes based on a driver's travel history combined with real-time traffic patterns. Waze says these recommendations are supported by live traffic data and reviewed by motorcycle-focused human editors to improve accuracy and rider safety.

Motorcycle Mode is now rolling out in selected countries, while Gemini-powered voice search is being introduced to Waze's global beta community. The latest updates highlight Google's continued push to bring artificial intelligence into everyday navigation, offering smarter, safer, and more personalized travel experiences for drivers around the world.
